Horizons Support Network supports NDIS participants in Capalaba, on the eastern edge of our service area. With Capalaba Central, Capalaba Park, Capalaba Regional Park and local creeks and parks nearby, it can be a practical base for shopping, supported outings and community routines.
We work with individuals and families in Capalaba when the fit, timing and travel are right. Support might mean building daily living skills at home, shopping practice, bus confidence, social participation, or heading to parks and community spaces with a familiar worker.
Capalaba sits on the Redland City edge, east of Brisbane, with large shopping centres, a major bus interchange, local parks, light-industrial areas and residential streets. It connects Brisbane's east with the Redlands and bayside communities.
The area feels practical and car-oriented, with shopping, services, sport and green spaces spread across a wider suburban footprint. Capalaba Regional Park and local creeks give participants outdoor options away from the busier shopping areas.
People choose Capalaba for its eastside access, shopping and community facilities. For HSN, it is an honest outer-edge service area, so enquiries are assessed around worker match, travel and whether we can provide consistent support.
Getting out, building confidence and feeling at home in Capalaba: from Capalaba Central to a quiet coffee nearby.
7 real, local spots we use to build routine, confidence and connection, at a pace that suits each participant.
Capalaba is bus-focused and car-friendly, with services toward Brisbane city, Carindale, Garden City and nearby Cleveland line connections outside the suburb. Old Cleveland Road and Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road make car travel practical, but Capalaba remains an eastern-edge area for HSN support.
