Meet the Team

At Horizons Support Network, we believe that great support starts with great people. Our team is made up of passionate, down-to-earth support workers who genuinely care about making a difference. Each of us brings unique skills, experiences, and perspectives, but we all share the same goal—helping our participants grow, achieve their goals, and live more independently.

Christopher Marshall, founder of Horizons Support Network, dedicated to empowering individuals through NDIS support services.

  • My journey began in the Royal Marine Commandos, where I spent years honing skills in discipline, resilience, and teamwork. These experiences taught me the importance of staying calm under pressure, leading with integrity, and always being prepared to face challenges head-on. After relocating to Australia, I transitioned into fitness training, where I discovered a passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.

It was through fitness that I first encountered the world of support work, training individuals with disabilities. This experience opened my eyes to the immense impact that tailored support and encouragement can have on a person's life. I realised that the principles I learned in the Marines—discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—were directly transferable to helping individuals achieve independence and live fulfilling lives.

At Horizons, I’m committed to building a team that embodies these values. Together, we work to empower our participants, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. My military background provides a strong foundation for leading a team that’s dedicated to making a real difference, and I’m proud to share my experiences to inspire and support others in this mission.

Ryan Davies, Support Worker and Chef at Horizons Support Network, empowering independence through cooking skills and community engagement for NDIS participants.
  • Hi, my name is Ryan! With over 10 years of culinary experience, I’ve developed a range of skills that translate well into the support work environment. My time in the kitchen has taught me the importance of patience, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Just as customer satisfaction is vital in a busy restaurant, building positive relationships with participants and their families is at the heart of what I do.

Navigating the fast-paced and ever-changing kitchen landscape has honed my problem-solving abilities—skills that are equally crucial when supporting individuals with diverse needs. Managing teams in a culinary setting has given me a deep understanding of how to work with and support people with varying preferences and requirements.

My background as a chef has prepared me to deliver dedicated, empathetic support, ensuring that participants receive personalised and high-quality care, all while enjoying the process.

Horizons support network employee Lilly
  • Hi, my name's Lilly! When I was a kid, It was my dream job to become an art therapist. But as I grew up, life took its twists and turns, leading me down different paths. And that's okay—because every step brought me to where I'm meant to be. Now, I've found true fulfilment in supporting and helping others through my work. Nevertheless, I never left my passions behind. Art has been a deep passion of mine since I was six years old. Creativity has always come naturally to me—an innate part of who I am. I’ve always been fascinated by the way I can express myself through art and even more so by the ability to share that experience with others, allowing them to see, feel, and connect with creativity in their own way.

The majority of my work experience over the past six years has been in hospitality management. I've always been quick to take on responsibility, understanding the importance of prioritisation and adaptability. I'm an easygoing and approachable person, and my background in hospitality, combined with my creative nature, has helped me develop strong patience and understanding when working with others.

I thrive on building genuine, one-on-one connections, believing that meaningful relationships grow over time. To me, support work isn’t just a job—it’s about growing alongside my clients, learning from each other, and embracing the journey together. No one has all the answers, and no one is perfect, but experiencing that growth together is truly the most valuable part of the process.

I'm a naturally bubbly person who loves all kinds of activities. I grew up in a household surrounded by sports, fitness, and a focus on healthy, whole foods, which taught me the importance of a balanced lifestyle.

In 2024, I set a New Year's resolution to learn how to bake—something I had been putting off for a while. I've always been more of a cook, but baking felt like uncharted territory. With cooking, you can usually improvise and save a dish in multiple ways, whereas baking requires precision and patience—something I saw as a fun challenge.

A year later, I’ve fallen in love with baking! I enjoy learning new recipes, sharing treats with people I meet, and surprising others with homemade goodies whenever I can. This is one of many small sharing activities I love to bond with others with!

  • I come from a diverse working background, always with a strong focus on people and building meaningful connections. Over the years, I’ve developed great communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills, along with experience supporting individuals, leading teams, and managing a variety of responsibilities.

I chose to return to the NDIS sector because I wanted to get back to work that feels purposeful and truly makes a difference. After spending time in corporate and retail roles, I felt drawn back to disability support, where I can work with and assist people in practical ways, encourage independence, and help participants work towards their personal goals.

I’m passionate about providing respectful, person-centred support and bring empathy, reliability, and genuine care to everything I do. I love building trusting relationships and walking alongside participants and families as they navigate their NDIS journeys.

  • Hi, my name is Ciara! I’m an Occupational Therapy student and a rugby union player, two things that are a big part of my life. I’ve been playing rugby since I was 13 and I love the teamwork, challenge, and sense of community that comes with it. Being involved in sport has shaped who I am and taught me a lot about commitment, resilience, and working well with others.

Before studying OT, I originally went down a more creative path in design and film. While I enjoyed that side of things, I quickly realised I was more drawn to working with people. Through different roles, I’ve had the chance to support children and families, which showed me how much I value connection, encouragement, and building genuine relationships. That experience is what led me to change degrees and pursue occupational therapy, where I feel like I’ve found the right fit.

I’m currently heading into my third year of OT and I really enjoy supporting people in everyday ways, whether that’s helping things feel a bit easier, more positive, or simply being there when it counts.
