Testimonials
“Tall tales and a HUGE smile.”

Chris' support and encouragement of Xavier has been instrumental in him obtaining work as a volunteer with RSPCA. Xavier's pride at having a 'job' is heartwarming to see.
Chris has further supported Xavier with his goal of building up his physical strength and fitness with gym sessions, bike rides and bush walks. Chris always consults with Xavier what he would like to do when they are having a 'chill day', whether it be going to movies, rock climbing, fishing or endless games of laser tag.
Xavier is always keen to head out the door with Chris, he comes home with tall tales and a huge smile, looking forward to their next adventure. As a family we feel extremely fortunate to have a man like Chris in Xavier's life, he is a wonderful role model, support worker and treats all with respect.

As parents with a child in need of additional support it can be such an emotional journey to find the right support worker. Developing trust and the right bond is essential, together with ensuring the support delivers exactly what our child needs and complies with our NDIS plan.
Chris has been with our family for over 12 months now. He has absolutely exceeded as a strong male role model and as a mentor for our teenage son. Chris has a fitness, confidence, patient and compassionate focus which has developed skills, confidence and capacities in our son beyond our expectations. Chris has interpersonal skills which allow our son to learn and develop the maturity to take on life as a young male teen.
Chris’ work with us has allowed me, as mum, to take a step back and watch our son’s social and emotional maturity grow. Chris focuses on our son’s capacity building by developing routines and agreed expectations, his hands on and caring approach is tailored to exactly what our son needs.
“Excellent care with rehab.”

My son Rowan has taken to Chris as his support worker very well over the past 9 months. Chris has had several quite diverse tasks to do with and on behalf of Rowan. I admire the way Chris gets alongside Rowan and encourages him to do things. Rowan has thoroughly enjoyed going to the gym with Chris who has supervised his workouts.
Rowan suffered a meniscus tear, so Chris concentrated on upper body strength training for a few months. He accompanied Rowan to the specialist and has ensured Rowan has done the appropriate exercises to strengthen the knee. I have been freed up to do other things and pursue my own leisure activities.
Chris attends meeting with our OT and then works on programs to improve Rowans numeracy for daily life. I feel Chris has made significant progress with Rowan in this regard with frequent repetition and goal setting.
Chris is also receptive to running with suggestions made by Rowan to meet people, Chris has accompanied Rowan to a number of meet up groups.
